With Christian Siriano and Harlem's Fashion Row, Janet Jackson opens New York Fashion Week

The renowned singer arrived at the Christian Siriano show on Wednesday night to applause from the audience and camera clicks.

At the Elizabeth Collective, the renowned former residence of another great, Elizabeth Taylor, Jackson watched Siriano's Spring/Summer 2023 collection

while sat between Elle editor-in-chief Nina Garcia and fashion writer Derek Blasberg.

Near the end of the performance, Jackson engaged in a lengthy conversation with Garcia and Blasberg.

Siriano then bowed to the Queen of Pop as he finished the show with his signature bound down the runway.

Alicia Silverstone, Coco Rocha, and Maye Musk enlivened the more subdued front row.

But Siriano says the presence of Jackson made any more invitations superfluous because Jackson's star power spoke for itself.
